3 Primary Colors (Red, Blue, Yellow) have BLACK TRIANGLES

• A COLOR SCHEME is a any GROUP of colors used in a design project, room interior, fashion outfit, web page, etc.

COMPLEMENTARY A pair of colors that sit directly opposite each other on the color wheel; they create the most CONTRAST of COLOR
.
ANALOGOUS Colors are close to each other on the color wheel; they share a common color.
(red, red-orange, and orange are Analogous colors). This color scheme works well for creating UNITY of COLOR because your are REPEATING color
.
MONOCHROMATIC Color Scheme: Shades and Tints of One color. Each section of the wheel has the pure color (the large shape)
and shades and tints of it. This color scheme also works well for creating UNITY
.
VALUE is the art element that's about LIGHTS & DARKS. You can CHANGE the VALUE of a COLOR by adding WHITE (to make TINTS) or by adding BLACK (to make SHADES. If you place a light TINT next to a dark SHADE you are creating CONTRAST of VALUE
